Announcements and Important Events
Please review the following information carefully related to Grab-N-Go Meal pick-up, medication pick-up, chromebook/laptop pick-up or first time issuance, pick-up of necessary personal belongings, and information on accessing learning opportunities for your children.
Grab-N-Go Meal Pick-Up:
The Northern Lehigh School District will offer ALL NLSD resident children (under 18 years old), including Head Start Students who attend Peters Elementary School, a free Grab-N-Go lunch and breakfast beginning Tuesday, March 17th. Students do not need to qualify for free or reduced lunch status to participate. Meals will be available daily, Monday through Friday, due to the school closures caused by COVID-19.
To participate, parents/guardians should drive through the middle school driveway closest to the front of the school, beginning at 11:00am until 1:00pm. Alternatively, students who can safely walk to the school can also pick up their lunch/breakfast. Food Services Department staff will be there to hand out food packages and our school police officer will be there to direct traffic. Each package will include lunch and breakfast items for the next morning.
For all buildings, medication pick-up will be on Tuesday, March 17 from 8:00-11:00 AM and Wednesday March 18th from 4:00-6:00 PM, at your child’s school. The school nurses will be available to hand medications to parents with ID. You must have an ID with you. Parents can buzz the front door; give their name and the student’s name. The nurse will get the medications, meet the parent out front, and have you sign that you received the medication.
Chromebook/Laptop Pick-up or First Time Issuance:
Building principals will be contacting their students and student’s parents/guardians with specifics on how to receive a chromebook/laptop.
Pick-Up of Necessary Personal Belongings:
Building principals will be contacting their students and student’s parents/guardians with specifics on how to claim necessary belongings. If you do not absolutely need an item, please do not come for it.
Accessing Learning Opportunities:
Our faculty has worked hard to put together a list of activities and resources that Northern Lehigh students could utilize online or hardcopy while schools are shut down. We hope that these educational activities help keep students in a learning mindset until they are able to return to classes. If students are currently enrolled in Bulldog Academy, they may continue to complete lessons using that online platform for their learning activities too. Building principals will be contacting their students and student’s parents/guardians with specifics on how to access these materials and activities.
As always, we appreciate your cooperation, patience, and flexibility. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
